Arts in the Parks with Ayelet Katz (3 week program)

$50.00

Join us for a relaxed and inspiring outdoor art experience in Malden’s beautiful parks. This 3-session course invites participants to explore painting and sketching in nature while learning a variety of artistic mediums, through a mini plein air approach to creating art on location.

Each session (2 hours) will take place at a different scenic spot on: August 30th, September 13th, and September 20th. You’ll develop skills in observation, relaxation, and capturing what you see directly from life. Participants will learn how to frame a scene, simplify complex views, and apply basic perspective as well as atmospheric perspective to create depth and mood in their artwork.

This course is designed for adults and teens ages 14 and up. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try. Participants are asked to bring their own favorite sketching or painting supplies from home (such as pencils, erasers and sharpeners, watercolors, colored pens or markers, colored pencils.

We will provide a sketchbook.

We also recommend also bringing a folding chair or a blanket for your comfort.

This course is designed to be fun, accessible, and empowering. By the end, participants will feel confident sketching and painting outdoors and will be able to continue independently wherever they go.

Come discover the joy of plein air painting, right here in Malden’s parks!
